An incredible job by Yancy Sanes and his advisory, along with Adamaris and the 12th-grade interns who helped organized and spread awareness about Autism. On behalf of Yancy, he is grateful to all those who participated in the walk, re-tweeted, donated to Autism Speaks, and showed an endless amount of community support. There were over 100 participants from teachers, staff, students, families, Children's Aid, Fannie Lou Middle School, community partnerships, and the 42nd precinct. Wow, what a turnout!

On behalf of our school community, we'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated, RT, shared or sent us good vibes to send 90 9th/10th graders to DC to visit the @HolocaustMuseum. Students and staff returned safely and had a powerful learning experience.

The Gender Equality Awareness Resolution Conference, or G.E.A.R Up., is a youth-led conference organized by students from Fannie Lou Hamer Freedom High School to help bring awareness to issues of rape culture, LGBTQ healthy relationships, and safe sex. Its purpose is to educate teens on making smart decisions by empowering them to transform from a dependent student to an independent critical thinker.

Come out and join the Fannie Lou Hamer school community on April. 11th at 4pm as we walk to raise awareness for Autism. We will gather in the cafeteria after-school.

In partnership with the New York Road Runners Club, Division Two teachers, Luz and Molly, meet weekly with seniors to help them get to the finish line-graduation!
Any senior interested is encouraged to come out and join us!
