Back to School 2019-20

Dear Parents and Guardians:

 

Welcome to the 2019-20 academic school year! We are looking forward to a wonderful time with your child. The first day of school -- Thursday, September 5th, is right around the corner and we have important information that we would like to share with you.

 

• School Schedule-  Monday through Friday 8:45 am to 2:45 pm.

 

• Open School Night-  Thursday, September 26th– meet your child's advisor, learn about the curriculum for the school year, review the grading policy, attend our first Parent Association meeting of the school year and meet the staff from Children's Aid Society.

 

• Exciting Opportunities- We will have many exciting partnerships this school year. We have received multiple grants this year to work with after school programs, such as Rocking The Boat, Youth Ministries for Peace and Justice, Beam Center, CareerWise NY, and others. Please talk to your child's advisor about how to sign up for these fantastic opportunities.

 

Included on our website are the school-wide policies, please review them with your child. 

 

 
If you are new to our community and haven't done so yet, please take a minute to fill out our enrollment package on our website. The enrollment package is composed of the forms listed below. You also will get a separate mailing with these forms and they will be available in the main office if you prefer to complete them on paper.

You will be mailed a blue Emergency Contact Card; it must be completed and returned it to your child's advisor. 

 

You should be receiving a phone call from your child's advisor before school starts to inform you about the opening of school. If you have any questions, please contact our Parent Coordinator, Marlene Lamboy at 718-861-0521.
